Connectors

Connectors query external data sources (e.g. GitHub, Shodan or IP information) and automatically enrich your entities with the results. Which connectors are offered depends on the type of the entity.

Run a connector

Open an entity's context menu in the graph and choose "Run connector". If several connectors match, "Select connector" appears first. The query then runs ("Running connector …").

If there is no matching connector, the app reports "No matching connectors for this entity."

Take over results

The results appear in the "Connector result". Choose which data to take over (using "All" / "None" and the search) and click "Apply" – the fields are added to the entity. Individual values can be created directly "as entity" and linked.

Store API keys

Some data sources require an API key. You store these on the "Connectors" page ("Configure and manage API data sources"). Set the key at the respective connector via "Save key"; it is then shown as "Key stored", and you can remove it again via "remove".

Secure: API keys are stored encrypted and never shown in the browser. If a required key is missing, the app reports "API key missing" when running. Some connectors also work without a key (possibly with limitations).

Providing connectors

In the desktop app you load your connector pack via "Load from my account" or import a pack file. In the server variant, connectors are managed centrally via the admin area.
